Tebsin is the solo project of artist April Nisbet, an independent musician from Rotorua, New Zealand, now based in T\u0101maki Makaurau \/ Auckland, creating moody, cinematic pop shaped by vulnerability, atmosphere, and emotional honesty. Drawn to writing in moments that feel like too much, she approaches music like a film playing out in real time - immersive, emotional, and meant to be felt fully. Her music is unfiltered and intimate - sad girl pop for those moments when you need to feel seen, understood, and less alone.<\/p>\n
After fronting pop\/punk band False Heights for a decade, Tebsin\u2019s solo work marks a deliberate shift toward vulnerability and restraint. Where her earlier music was driven by catharsis and intensity, her current project leans into intimacy, emotional depth, and softness, allowing space for her voice to sit front and centre, creating a live experience that feels raw, close, and emotionally immersive.<\/p>\n
Themes of identity, transition, and loss run through her writing, drawing on experiences of grief, separation, and personal change. Tebsin\u2019s work is grounded in connection and feeling, offering listeners music that meets them where they are and stays with them through it.<\/p>\n
