Their debut album <em>Pet<\/em> dominated the New Zealand Albums Chart for an astonishing thirty weeks, while the era-defining single <em>Lydia<\/em> famously knocked Destiny\u2019s Child off the number one spot. Across three albums, two EPs and hundreds of live shows, Fur Patrol earned a reputation as one of the country\u2019s most formidable and unmissable live acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, ahead of this year\u2019s Homegrown Festival, Julia Deans (guitar, vocals), Andrew Bain (bass), and Simon Braxton (drums) are hitting the road once more, joined by longtime collaborator and <em>Pet<\/em> producer David Long (The Mutton Birds). David brings his inimitable guitar wizardry to weave rich sonic layers through the trio\u2019s unmistakable foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who\u2019s caught Fur Patrol live in recent years will attest they\u2019ve lost none of their potency, power, or energy.
