Carl o Y\u0101ng is an alternative, indie artist, born and raised in the South Island of New Zealand, Aotearoa.<\/p>\n
Brought up in a large extended family of musicians, poets and storytellers, Carl\u2019s childhood was one saturated with artistic influence and musical inspiration.<\/p>\n
From jamming with cousins late into the night, playing his uncle\u2019s records and listening to his grandad\u2019s powerhouse opera singing, Carl was soon an inspired and confident musician and songwriter.<\/p>\n
His journey through this life has been a dance between the mountains and valleys of life.<\/p>\n
Carl\u2019s mission is to help encourage positive change and spiritual growth through his songs. His voice and musical performances have the ability to cut past the \u2018monkey mind\u2019 and speak straight to the soul of the listener.<\/p>\n
With his 1st song Honey Back<\/em> reaching over 20,000 streams and his releases Do You Feel<\/em> and Seeing You<\/em>\u00a0each reaching over 10,000 on Spotify alone, Carl is already making an inspired arrival onto the path of musicianship.<\/p>\n With a gift for bringing an emotional and captivating live performance, while being able to put the crowd at ease with his relaxed and easygoing humor on stage, Carl o Y\u0101ng\u2019s live performances are an experience to be witnessed.<\/p>\n Carl is set to release his 1st EP Regeneration<\/em>\u00a0early 2026, which he has completed with the help of established Wellington producer Nate Rapana. The EP contains six diverse tracks with lush productions, touching lyricism and captivating vocals.<\/p>\n After already performing at festivals such as Earth Beat & Spirit Festival and headlining his own shows, Carl's success in the music industry knows no bounds.<\/p>\n Carl o Y\u0101ng\u2019s voice and music is a sanctuary of peace and stillness.
