Emily Alice hails from the vibrant music scene of \u014ctepoti Dunedin, captivating audiences with their soulful jazz-pop sound. Their sound, characterized by a well-rounded and polished delivery, places them among the most sought-after live bands in Dunedin.<\/p>\n
In April 2024, they released their debut EP, Hindsight<\/em>. The lead single, Gravitational<\/em>, quickly charted on the highly coveted Student Radio Network of Aotearoa NZ Top 10. Following this, Emily Alice embarked on a successful nationwide tour, selling hundreds of tickets across the country, and cemented themselves as a fresh name to watch out for in the NZ scene. 2024 was topped off with two sold-out hometown shows and a return to the studio, recording their upcoming project due for a 2025 release.<\/p>\n Emily Alice was formed in 2021 by Emily Kerr-Bell (Vocals), Josh Botting (Keyboards) & Toby Roseman (Guitar), who met out of the University of Otago School of Performing Arts Music Programme. The band is named after vocalist Emily Kerr-Bell, who was an inaugural recipient of the University of Otago SIX60 Scholarship in 2022. Bassist Jakira Brophy was also selected for this honour in 2024.
