How To Human Announce Major Lineup Shift + Release New Single ‘Math’

Wellington hard‑rock outfit How To Human are entering a bold new chapter, marked by a significant lineup change and the release of their brand‑new single Math, now available on all major streaming platforms.
Following an energised run of shows at the end of 2025, the band confirms that founding member Lars Von Espy has stepped out of the guitarist role and into the spotlight as lead vocalist, succeeding former frontman Arlo Baylis, who has moved on to pursue other ventures.
Lars reflects on the transition:
“Arlo had done a fantastic job as HTH vocalist and brand ambassador, but instead of replacing him with an outside vocalist, we felt that my voice and style of vocals suits where we are trying to take the project.”
To fill the newly opened instrumental ranks, the band officially welcomes Marty Nicholas on guitar and Jim Denham on bass. Both musicians were put through their paces during a series of late‑2025 live appearances, proving a seamless fit for the next evolution of the HTH sound.
With new music out now and shows already booked for 2026, How To Human are gearing up to bring their revitalised lineup – and their signature heavy-rock energy – back to stages across Wellington and beyond.
