Hoop Release Heartfelt New Single ‘Wouldn’t Have It Any Other Way’ Ahead of Upcoming Mini-Album

Tāmaki Makaurau indie folk band Hoop unveil Wouldn’t Have It Any Other Way, the first single from their upcoming mini-album Wrap Me Up in Winter (out December 2025).
The track is a warm, toe-tapping reflection on love – and the beauty of accepting imperfection in your partner. The song rides along with a classic Fleetwood Mac-style groove, brought to life by drummer Rusty Knox and bassist Glenn Coldham. Emily Allen adds gorgeous country-style double stops on violin, while Nick Edgar brings a warm electric guitar tone to the mix.
Al Baxter’s vocals, acoustic guitar and banjo drive the heart of the song, with special guest Nigel Gavin contributing shimmering mandolin lines that enrich the track’s earthy, melodic character.
“It’s about love – honest, imperfect, real – and knowing you wouldn’t have it any other way,”
With lush harmonies and emotionally resonant arrangements, Hoop continue to craft soul-stirring indie folk that bridges Americana, Celtic roots, and alt-pop.
Wouldn’t Have It Any Other Way is out now on all major streaming platforms.
