Myshaan makes waves with heartfelt new single ‘Pacific Beauty’
Myshaan Komene (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāpuhi, Tainui), is out to capture hearts with his new soulful release, Pacific Beauty, featuring Kennyon Brown.
Inspired by his time in Hawai’i, the song focuses on Wāhine Toa, the strong-willed and influential women of the Pacific, who make everything around them better.
“This woman isn’t just beautiful in appearance, she carries herself with grace, strength and influence. Everything she touches flourishes”, he says.
“These women often go unrecognised or unsung. I’ve been blessed to have so many women like this in my life, so Pacific Beauty is my tribute to them.”
Fresh off his performance at the 2025 Fiji Homecoming Festival and heartfelt single ‘Missed your Chance’, Myshaan is continuing to evolve with this reggae-inspired single, drawing inspiration from across Te Moana Nui a Kiwa, the Pacific Ocean. Like a wayfinder charting new waters, this single carries the voices of the Pacific across the seas and brings them home to the shores of Aotearoa.
Artists such as Josh Tatofi, Kolohe Kai, Maoli and Teeks have had a foundational impact on Komene’s musical journey.
A proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his faith has also been an anchor throughout his career.
“As a Christian, not only do I want my music to uplift and edify, I intend to leave people feeling whole and inspired”, he says.
Myshaan’s success in the music industry continues to grow, with the artist spending 90 weeks in the Official Top 20 Aotearoa Singles Chart for three of his singles. The 23-year-old’s digital presence also proves he’s a force to be reckoned with, boasting more than 210 thousand followers and 5.1 million likes on TikTok.
With the release of Pacific Beauty, Myshaan continues his mission to elevate Pacific stories with listeners in Aotearoa, the Pacific and also across the globe.
