Stray Theories is the musical project of New Zealand-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Micah Templeton-Wolfe.
For nearly two decades, he has crafted a singular sound that blends cinematic ambient atmospheres, neoclassical composition, and post-rock sensibilities. Since the early 2000’s, he has released a series of EPs, full-length albums, and remix/collaboration projects.
His music has extended beyond pure listening, appearing in film and documentary soundtracks, commercials, sound design projects, and art installations. Under the Stray Theories name, Templeton-Wolfe continues to expand the boundaries of ambient and modern classical music while retaining a deeply emotional, introspective core.
