Tiny Triumph Recordings Announces Second Single For Paper Mountains ‘An Olive Tree and a Warm Breeze’
Tiny Triumph Recordings is excited to announce the upcoming release of An Olive Tree and a Warm Breeze, the second single from Paper Mountains, the soulful folk project of renowned Music Producer Toby Lloyd. The single will be available on all major platforms on 2nd December 2025.
An Olive Tree and a Warm Breeze is the second glimpse into Paper Mountains’ forthcoming debut album of the same title An Olive Tree and a Warm Breeze, set for release in March 2026. Following the successful debut release Come Home Darling which has been gaining strong traction both internationally and locally, with glowing blog coverage, being playlisted on many heavy hitting Spotify playlists and receiving radio play from around New Zealand.
The soul/folk/pop leaning single is filled with soulful vocals, vibrant harmonies, uplifting horns from some of New Zealand’s best brass players, chill rhythms and acoustic guitars, like the lovechild of Otis Redding and Iron and Wine, having everything it needs to be the feel-good song of the summer.
Lloyd’s songwriting draws from a deeply personal place. Hailing from Te-Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington), the narrative of the album is a deeply personal journey through the highs and lows of love, from newfound passion to friction and heartbreak, to healing and renewal, emerging stronger with each chapter.
“An Olive Tree and a Warm Breeze was one of the first songs I wrote after barely writing anything for years. It came to me in a stream of consciousness after falling head over heels in love with my soulmate. I would travel for hours to see her each week, and I would see her in everything. I was living in a state of awe that someone so amazing felt the same way about me, and the songs just started pouring out.”
Toby Lloyd’s vibrant career has seen him emerge as the founder of the much loved recording studio Tiny Triumph Recordings and collaborating with many of NZ’s top artists like Shapeshifter, Hollie Smith, Stan Walker, Troy Kingi, Rob Ruha, Blindspott, Louis Baker and many more as well as working in the sound teams for films such as The Hobbit Trilogy and Avatar 2.
