Marcelle George, originally from Christchurch, is a New Zealand–born singer-songwriter based in the United States. After the 2011 earthquake, her family relocated to the U.S., a shift that would later infuse her music with themes of nostalgia, and perspective.

A multifaceted artist who writes, performs, and produces all her work, Marcelle, rooted in indie folk, weaves intimate storytelling with soft, atmospheric soundscapes.

Her debut album, Born Young, marks a bold and heartfelt introduction to her artistry – a coming-of-age record that captures the authenticity, vulnerability, and nostalgia of growing up. Written and produced entirely by Marcelle, the album drifts between soft, lullaby-like pieces such as Elm and Ladybug, and more reflective, emotionally layered tracks like Goosebumps, Jay, and I Barely Know.

Across the record, her distinctive vocals and naturistic lyricism create an immersive world that feels both deeply personal and universally familiar.
