I guess you could say country music runs in Bazza’s veins.
Not only was he born in the country music capital of New Zealand – Gore, but this is where he would behold his father’s local band taking out the supreme overall for the prestigious Gold Guitar awards.

Consequently, there were many hours spent soaking in the country music scene, attending festivals and club nights alike with the band and family.

High school was the time to expand his musical horizons, starting on bass for the school band to have a crack at Rockquest. This was also the time to start delving into song writing and storytelling. If you listen carefully you may even hear a hint of the Glam rock and grunge influences from that period still flowing in his latest country rock offerings.

Still hailing from the south, that down home, down to earth character is one of the strengths he brings to his on stage persona. Conveying personable, positive anthems and ballads in a relatable style for a wide range of audiences.
“Sing, reminisce, woah….” – Bazza Brown
