Trauma Party are a fresh NZ post punk band with a powerful, energetic live set. Perfect to warm up the festival crowd. Their new single Sharks was chosen for Most FM’s NZ On Air Making Tracks segment aired in October 2025.
Formed at the end of 2024 and based on Waiheke Island, Trauma Party have been busy doing live shows, getting student radio play, recording, and producing their popular video Are We in Heaven. They recently played with Lung (with Beastwars’ James Woods) in Auckland and are busy finalising North Island tour dates for 2025.
Trauma Party are: Wild eyed frontman Buddy Olsen, veteran guitarist Derek Solomon (Space Waltz, The Solomon Cole Band), underground punk rock drummer Kirsty Swanney (Glass Cell, Dog Tooth Violet), and Ronnie Kramer on bass.
