Dash Ripshaw try to produce the catchiest guitar alt-pop this side of the 1990’s. Catchy melodies, punchy bass lines with quirky guitars all contribute to the sound that originated in Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
Dash Ripshaw emerged on the scene from the alleyways of Wellington, New Zealand. A lonely guitarist accompanied a desperate drummer in the quest of bringing melody to zany songs. A lead guitarist who understood the aforementioned adjective theme for the band’s tunes and a bass player who knew how to bring the grime later; the band was complete and the real journey began.
Releasing their single Diane and their debut Love Police EP in 2022, Dash Ripshaw are currently under a lengthy live hiatus (that still sees them releasing music).
