Ready Sett is the brainchild of Wellington musician Anj Barton, also of The Ramblings and Watermelon Onesie.
Joining forces with drummer Tim Gau in 2014, Ready Sett drew inspiration for their songs from early White Stripes and Black Keys recordings. They released their debut EP The Badger in December 2015.
Mid-2016 saw Olivia Campion taking over as drummer and backing vocalist. Anj and Olivia bonded over their love for punk, indie and riot grrrl groups of the 90’s, which led to the creation of fast paced, pop-punk styled tunes. The duo’s songs began to reflect their feminist consciousness, coming to life through simple pop hooks and irreverent humour. Ready Sett took on a heavier more fuller sound for their second EP Girl In A Band recorded in 2017 and released in early 2018.
After a seven year hiatus, there will be new material out late 2025!
